Circular City Week, the largest festival of the circular economy in the United States, returns to New York City from the 2nd to the 8th of May 2022.
The events, both live and online, will feature some 80 speakers from around the world and address every aspect of circularity in relation to the urban context.

All about the circular economy of cities

Now in its fourth year, Circular City Week in New York is a collaborative festival, bringing together institutional interventions and contributions from civil society, companies, and associations.
The initiative, the organisers explain, is made possible thanks to the involvement of 245 organisations committed to circular transition and sustainable innovation.
Throughout the week it will be possible to follow both online and live (if you are in New York!) dozens of free events, meetings, and workshops on almost every aspect of the circular economy applied to cities: waste management, recycling, reuse, urban soil regeneration, space and process design, repair and maintenance, fighting against food waste, textile waste management, and sustainable mobility.

From New York to the world

This year's guest country is Denmark, with three main sponsors - Danish Cleantech Hub, State of Green, and Confederation of Danish Industry - and a series of case studies, best practices, and innovative solutions on display in the Danish Circular Design Showroom and the Nordic Circular Space.
However, interesting experiences are emerging from all over the world. Among the most noteworthy are Mexico City's bet on circular transition and Ghana's great challenge, which is trying to integrate a circular logistics system with the informal economy of waste pickers that has developed around the giant landfill in Accra.
