Bike Club is revolutionizing the children's (but also adults') bicycle industry by providing families with the opportunity to subscribe online to new or refurbished bicycles and scooters and to exchange them as the child grows.

The startup, founded in 2016, eliminates the hassle, cost, and time of repeatedly selling and replacing bicycles for young children: an average child needs six or seven bicycles before turning 16 to keep up with their growth.

How Bike Club works

Bike Club, by renting, refurbishing bicycles to high standards, and re-renting them, ensures the use of high-quality bikes by multiple children, thus reducing the demand for the production of new bicycles. The London-based company offers various types of bikes, including hybrids and mountain bikes, of high quality at affordable prices: starting from just £5 per month for the simplest bicycles.

After 18 or 12 months, it is possible to change the bike in use for a larger one free of charge. Bike Club takes care of the pickup of the old bike together with the delivery of the new one.

Investing in Bike Club and where to find it

To date, the company has raised nearly €58 million from investors including Circularity Capital, one of the leading venture capital firms in the circular economy in Europe, to fuel an organic and acquisitive growth strategy in the UK and Europe. Having entered the German market in 2022, the B-Corp-certified Bike Club acquired Bicircular, a children's bicycle subscription platform in Spain, in the summer of 2023.
