Following the success of its Chicago edition, Circularity will be back in 2025, with a new event in the United States to shape the future of the circular economy in North America. From the 29th of April to the 1st of May, the Colorado Convention Center in Denver will host the event, organised by Trellis (formerly GreenBiz), where over 1,500 professionals and industry leaders will discuss strategies for change, new business models, and the importance of innovation in redesigning entire supply chains. Once again, Renewable Matter is one of the event's media partners.
Why participate in Circularity 2025?
With over 100 interactive sessions and insights from international experts, Circularity 2025 will bring together professionals from key sectors such as business strategy, product design, production, logistics, finance, waste management, marketing and sustainability, also welcoming entrepreneurs, startuppers and investors, academics and representatives of public bodies and trade associations.
“We always host two 90-minute sessions on the first and second days of the conference, featuring thought leaders from diverse backgrounds who have shaped our current understanding of what a circular economy should look like”, explained Jon Smieja to Renewable Matter. “We have confirmed John Warner, the father of green chemistry, who will discuss material innovation. We will also hear from a prominent cradle-to-cradle designer and biomimicry expert, as well as a speaker who will explain how we can pair valuable indigenous knowledge with Western science to accelerate progress. On day one, we will also have a masterclass on reverse logistics, taught by two highly experienced educators in the field. Here, you will learn how to set it up correctly from experts who have worked on programmes like the take-back initiative for Verizon Wireless. On the second day, we will host Deanna Bratter, Chief Sustainability Officer at Crocs Corp., who will speak about biomaterials, product take-back design, and other strategies to make products more circular.”
The transition to a circular economy requires a systemic approach involving businesses, institutions, innovators, and communities. For this reason, based on the Ellen MacArthur Foundation guidelines, Circularity will be divided into six key areas: regenerative business models, enabling policies, innovation in materials and products, social inclusion, supply chain transformation, and innovative financial mechanisms.
