The 2020 edition of IFIB, the International Forum on Industrial Biotechnology and Bioeconomy, is held in Rome. On Thursday 1 and Friday 2 October, both in presence and on a digital platform, bioeconomy and industrial biotechnology will be discussed with exponents of the academic world and industry from all over Europe, the United States and Brazil.
Among the topics: the development of biorefineries, biotechnologies as the engine for a bio-based circular economy, the potential of biomass, biofuels and the future of the bioeconomy in the context of the European Green Deal.
Among the speakers, representatives of Clariant, Braskem, Novamont, Stora Enso, Dow, NatureWorks, Versalis, Aquafil, BBI JU, ERC, Neste and many others. IFIB, organized with the support of Lazio Region, is also attracting to Rome many EU research projects, such as Grace, Biovoices, Biobesticide and others.
