Dechema is networking partner with Edizioni Ambiente for Renewable Matter project

DECHEMA e.V. (Society for Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology) brings together experts from a wide range of disciplines, institutions and generations to stimulate scientific exchange in chemical engineering, process engineering and biotechnology. It identifies and evaluates emerging technological trends and facilitates the transfer of research results into industrial applications.

DECHEMA is the hub of an interdisciplinary network of topic-oriented committees, organizing events and professional development courses for all who are interested in a specialized subject area. DECHEMA has over 5,800 members - individuals, institutions and companies. The Biotechnology Section and ProcessNet, the joint platform for chemical engineering, are the forums where scientists, engineers, students, companies and institutions meet for knowledge exchange and discussion.

DECHEMA e.V. works closely with DECHEMA-Forschungsinstitut, which is dedicated to research for sustainable technologies in the fields of biotechnology, materials and chemical engineering.

BiobasedWorld is the premier trade show for all biobased industries. In contrast to the numerous conferences the exhibitors and their products will take center stage and be in the focus of attention. BiobasedWorld is directed at all sectors of industry that play a part in the bioeconomy
  • industrial biotechnology
  • algae
  • biomass
  • biorefineries
  • biopolymers
  • bioenergy
  • biofuels
  • biobased chemicals
  • biobased lubricants
  • biobased surfactants
  • biobased materials, including building materials
There is no focal topic, as the aim is to show the power of the bioeconomy as a whole.
BiobasedWorld is made by DECHEMA, which has been organizing ACHEMA since 1920, the leading show for the process industries. ACHEMA takes places every three years in Frankfurt/Main, Germany and attracts more than 3,800 exhibitors and close to 170,000 visitors. In 1989 ACHEMASIA in Beijing was added as the Asian counterpart and has grown to more than 400 exhibitors and more than 12,000 visitors.
